I hope all of you out there who have made the commitment to themselves and have chosen to make healthy lifestyle changes, stay committed to your journey for your own personal gains and satisfaction!
I don't get up and workout for judgment, or anyone's satisfaction, to be honest I do it for my own personal health and my over all well being. Some will approve and others may disapprove or make comments about my commitment and time I invest into leading a healthy life. "Fit shaming" is the same as "fat shaming" it's wrong and those who criticize ANYONE should understand that negative and disrespectful comments will only make you look silly.
There is nothing wrong with our society wanting to be more health conscious. There is absolutely nothing wrong with ordering a chicken salad when you go out for dinner. There is NOTHING wrong with having muscle and feeling confident.
The older I get the less people's opinions matter. I used to hide my body and cover it up on the beach. I still struggle with confidence, but I look at it this way: I work hard, I am not perfect, I will never be perfect, but I am me and I'm content with just that.
We will always have individuals judging us, but at the end of the day does it really matter? Will it stop you from moving in the right direction? No, so move on and live this amazing life, happy and with pride.
To those posting your progress pictures and photos keep doing your thing! You know who you are. Don't let others distract you from your hard work and dedication! There was a time I would NEVER have posted a photo like this of me. You all have worked so hard. Be proud of how far you have come. Don't be intimidated by haters!
You've got this!
